Most of our finishes come on high quality chip board core, while some will be on medium density fibre board (MDF) core, melamine coating is of high quality, much more resistant to scratches, wear and tear etc. than the typical melamine boards available at local stores or at d.i.y centres etc. Majority being from the egger range and from other equally trusted brands only.

Please note: it is not always possible to rely 100% on the digital images of the melamine finish. If you require a 100% colour match, order colour samples on our sample page.

Doors will always be edged all 4 sides, with the option of thin or thick edging. The size you enter will include the edging – so you do not have to deduct anything for it. 

Our edging material is abs plastic, (more hard-wearing and longer lasting than traditional melamine edging), and will match the melamine board finish, we offer 2 types of edging:

1.   Regular thin edging (0.4mm).
2.   Thick edging (2mm) , a tougher finish and a slight radiused edge. See illustration.

Thicker edging, will also be more visible.  

Tip: With thick edging, the edging will give a visual apperance, and when going for a diferent colour edging, will create a nice contrast. For this or for any other special requirements, go to specials page to request a quotation.
